These recipes were produced in partnership with REVOL GREENS – Minnesota grown, 365 days a year.
REVOL GREENS provides the freshest, best-tasting lettuce, grown locally and sustainably without the use of pesticides, herbicides or other harsh chemicals. They’re great products that I personally enjoy and am always happy to serve. They’re grown locally and available in stores within a day or two which means fresher, longer lasting greens for us to enjoy!
In this smoothie recipe, I used REVOL GREENS new Power Up Blend which includes kale, chard, and other super greens. It’s SO MUCH EASIER using these tender, young greens for a smoothie because there’s no prep! No washing, no stems to remove, and nothing to break down – they go right from the package to the blender.
Unlike mature greens, the Power Up Blend “baby” greens are naturally sweeter, too, so I didn’t feel the need to add sweeteners to this smoothie recipe. It’s always nice to be able to reduce sugars and save calories!
This Fresh Greens & Fruit Smoothie is brimming with antioxidants and fiber, and I added chia seeds to bump things up even more.
I also sprinkled some pretty pomegranate arils on top because… Why not? If you happen to have some on hand, topping a smoothie with them is a great way to use them up. Note: You could also blend the arils in the smoothie, but doing so will change the bright green color of the smoothie a bit.
Whip up this Fresh Greens & Fruit Smoothie for breakfast!

Ingredients
- 3 cups Revol Greens Power Up Blend , lightly packed
- ¼ -½ cup water (start with ¼ cup and add more as needed)
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 Granny Smith apple , chopped
- 1/2 green pear , chopped
- 1 banana , sliced
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (I used canned pineapple w/ no sugar added)
- 1 kiwi , peeled & chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Chia seeds + more for garnish
- Honey or other sweetener of choice, to taste (optional)
- Ice (optional)
- Pomegranate arils to garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Place fresh greens,¼ cup water, and the rest of the ingredients in a blender. Pulse a few times to combine, then blend until mixture is smooth. Add more water to thin mixture, if desired, for a thinner consistency. Taste and add sweetener (if using) and blend again to combine. Add ice (if using) and blend again, and/or pour smoothie into a chilled glass. Garnish with chia seeds and pomegranate arils (if using) and… Enjoy!
Refrigerate in a covered container for up to 24 hours. Some separation may occur – just stir it up a bit before drinking.
…and save a little of the smoothie mixture to add to this Green Fruit Vinaigrette and salad recipe for lunch or dinner!
Of course, the vinaigrette has the same ingredients as the smoothie, but with just a few more tart and savory notes. It’s perfect for dressing delicate greens, and if you like fruit in your salads as much as I do, you’re in for a real treat!
