Simple Beef and Veg Stir Fry
This Simple Beef and Veg Stir Fry with Garlic and Black Pepper allows the flavors of tender Wagyu beef and bright summer veggies to shine!
We started with a gorgeous Fellers Ranch™ Wagyu Beef Sirloin Steak. The flavor and texture of their beef is exceptional, so we didn’t want to add heavy marinades or over-season it. Fresh onion, garlic, Tamari, and course-ground black pepper is all we used.
Fellers Ranch™ is a partnership between a third-generation family farmer, a 75 year-old family-owned (USDA-inspected) artisan butcher shop, and several seasoned ranchers. Together, they have an exciting new vision based on decades of raising cattle and processing meat. They are all located in south-central Minnesota, which is where their #mngrown cattle are raised. Visit fellersranch.com and @fellersranch to learn more about the ranch + ordering information!
Uber-fresh, slightly crunchy stir-fried vegetables pair perfectly with rich, delicious beef. We really enjoyed the fresh, summery flavors of the bell peppers and zucchini from the farmers market. This is the perfect dish for summer produce, but fall and winter veggies and greens would work well too!
How To Serve this Simple Beef and Veg Stir Fry
We enjoyed it just as-is! To stretch the dish further and make it even heartier, serve the stir fry over your favorite rice or cous cous.
Seasoning preferences differ for everyone. We prefer lighter seasonings in the summertime, and enjoy lots of fresh flavors. You can always add salt, spices, and homemade or prepared sauces to this recipe if you wish!
ENJOY!

Simple Beef and Veg Stir Fry
This Simple Beef and Veg Stir Fry with Garlic and Black Pepper allows the flavors of tender Wagyu beef and bright summer veggies to shine!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Fellers Ranch™ Wagyu Beef Sirloin Steak, thinly sliced
- 2 –3 Tbsp. low sodium Tamari or soy sauce
- 1 lg. yellow onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, sliced
- 3 colorful bell peppers, seeded and sliced
- 2 small zucchini, sliced
- 3 Tbsp. neutral oil
- To Taste: salt + course ground black pepper
- Optional: garnish with red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
-
Thinly slice the beef, and place into a glass bowl. Add Tamari or soy sauce and toss to coat. Allow the meat to season at room temperature for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
Meanwhile, slice the vegetables making sure everything is approximately the same size.
-
Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high flame. Add the oil. When the oil is nice and hot(but not smoking), add the seasoned beef. Stir fry for 7 – 10 minutes, until beef is evenly cooked, but still pink in the center of the slices.
-
Add the onions and continue stir frying until they’re tender. Add the garlic, and stir well. Add the peppers, and continue stirring until tender but still slightly crunchy. Finally, add the zucchini and stir fry for just a few more minutes until tender, but not mushy.
-
TO SERVE: This stir fry is delicious all on its own, but can also be served over rice or cous cous. Garnish as you wish with red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, fresh chopped parsley, and… ENJOY!
